watch full movie below!During the last few months, we have been devoted to restoring and revamping a movie we made almost 30 years ago. "Plenilunio" (meaning "Full Moon") was shot in 1993, and went on to win several international awards, as well as inspiring generations of South American filmmakers. But before we present the new version, let's read what Will T. Laughlin has written about the original one:
the albino character
low budget, bad monsters, and beyond..."The movie really runs into some trouble, though, when it gets to the one thing that every monster movie needs to do, no matter what its budget: revealing the beast." "I think the creature makes a good metaphor for the whole movie: Islas wanted to make something impressive, and he wasn't going to let anything get in his way — not the low budget, not the lack of materials, not even the fact that nobody local had ever attempted this before. If he didn't end up with exactly what he'd intended, so what? The intention is clear enough, and the actual result is still a lot of fun. "
