A mysterious crime shocks southern Arizona, when the members of a border patrol are murdered in the desert that separates Mexico from the United States. The investigation, carried out by two federal agents, leads them to the city of Chicago, where they find a burned truck and traces of unnatural skin samples. There, the federals join forces with Detective Carla Moreno, who with the help of a couple of journalists and a picturesque Santero, will follow the clues to solve the case.
What at first seems to be a police plot, soon becomes complicated, when the evidence points to a sinister pact between a high-level politician and a powerful South American Santera. What is their purpose? How far are they willing to go in their ambition for power? Mystery and suspense come together in this first season of "Macumba", where there is no shortage of current issues, action, the supernatural and above all, lots of humor. |
